Below is a summary of the mooring registration information on record including information submitted by registrants. Mooring registrations are not current until the annual registration and mitigation fees have been paid.

Mooring registration is not a permit, authorization, or verification of any mooring or shorezone structure. Registration of a mooring is not evidence of its legal existence. Pursuant to Article 16.8 of the Rules of Procedure, owners of every mooring on, or with access to, Lake Tahoe shall pay annual fees to TRPA. If in the future, TRPA determines the registered mooring is not legally existing, the owner may be subject to compliance action, including removal of the mooring. Mooring registration fees and buoy scenic mitigation fees are non-refundable.

Attached is a copy of the 2009 mooring registration for 3 buoys, along a copy of the initial application for 4 buoys and related correspondence showing that the initial request was reduced to 3 buoys due to the requirement for a scenic assessment in order to keep the 4th buoy. (See File No. MOOR2009-3105 for more detail)

Notes for planner
This mooring registration is for 4 buoys located lakeward of a littoral parcel owned in fee by another party. The 4th buoy marked on this form is not the exact location. See File No.Moor2009-3106 and the 1969 aerial photo for the location of the 4 buoys that were placed prior to 1972. The 2009 buoy application was reduced from 4 buoys to 3 due to the requirement for a scenic analysis in order to retain the 4th buoy. However, the Easement Agreement confirms the Association's rights to 4 buoys.
